On 22 November 2024, EMRIC will celebrate its special anniversary at MECC Maastricht! As announced, this day not only marks the 10th anniversary of this unique partnership, but also the 25th anniversary of its intensive collaboration and 50 years of cross-border cooperation in the Euregio ‘Maas-Rijn’.

EMRIC stands for Euregio ‘Maas-Rijn’ Incident Response and Crisis Management. The organisation ensures that emergency services and authorities can collaborate across borders in areas such as fire services, technical assistance, emergency medical care, infectious disease control, disaster response, and crisis management. In a border region like the Euregio ‘Maas-Rijn’, foreign emergency services can often be on-site quickly or provide reinforcement. When every second counts, rapid assistance is crucial. EMRIC makes sure that fast, cross-border aid is possible. Additionally, larger crises or disasters, such as pandemics or floods, don’t stop at borders, making good information exchange essential.

During this festive occasion, EMRIC aims to bring together as many colleagues as possible to network and share knowledge. Vehicles and special equipment from all three countries will be on display.
