Unique medallion commemorating Maastricht Pilgrimage at MIF International Paper Money Fair
From Tuesday, 29 April to Sunday, 4 May, MECC Maastricht will be the backdrop for the world’s largest banknote fair: the MIF International Money Fair. With over 250 exhibitors from 68 different countries, the fair attracts investors and collectors from all over the world. The fair has enjoyed growing interest from coin houses, broadening MIF’s offer considerably. This year represents a special milestone: this will be the first time both the Royal Dutch Mint as well as the Royal Mint of Belgium will have a presence on the show floor.
2025 Maastricht Pilgrimage Medallion – Limited Edition
In the run-up to the Maastricht Pilgrimage to be held in June 2025, the Royal Dutch Mint will be presenting a unique commemorative medallion in a limited edition of only 1,000 units. On Friday, 2 May at 15.30, during the exclusive MIF PREVIEW at MECC Maastricht, auxiliary bishop Everard de Jong (Diocese of Roermond), Helma Lousberg (Secretary of the Pilgrimage), Martje Gulikers (Maastricht Marketing) and Rob van de Wiel (General Director of MECC Maastricht) will be presented with the first copies of the medallion by mintmaster Bert van Ravenswaaij.
‘Drielandenpunt’ coin card – Limited Edition
The Royal Mint of Belgium is also issuing a special release: a Drielandenpunt (border triangle) coin card with a 1 Euro coin in a limited edition of 1,500 units. This unique euro coin will not be put into circulation and will be available exclusively during the MIF.
